It's a hype thing.... Arrived at 1810 on a Friday night. The queue was wrapped around the street. Sat down to dinner at 2032. Over two hours waiting. The first portion of the steak was cold. House white and red wines are undrinkable, and they were removed from our bill. The second steak and fries were better but not worth the wait. Total portion size of steak over two servings 8-10 oz maximum. Most definitely get the strawberry dessert in the pastry basket. Divine. The service team deserves an award. It's packed, and they're working so hard to keep the queue moving and customers happy. If you want good steak, sauce, and pomme frittes with no wait, go to Flat Iron. If you're happy to wait a very long time and have a cramped and rushed meal, then go here.
a week agoAmazing food and experience at L’Entrecote. Came here with a group of friends at around 1PM and were able to get seated for a group of 6 within an hour. The service was amazing - once we were seated, the waitress immediately came to our table to confirm the prix fixe menu and the drinks. Food was served incredibly quickly on hot plates, and they were consistently refilling our plates throughout the meal. The food was great and cooked to our preferences (a perfect rare and medium set of steaks) and the sauce with the fries and meat were great. This place does seem to have a lot of hype, but based on reviews, atmosphere, and service I think this is a great restaurant to visit in London!
3 months agoBustling, quick and great service. £29 for a basic salad, steak and chips. £26 for a bottle of house red. Whilst the steak and fries were great, the sauce was a bit unusual - it's got curry flavour in it. Traditionally, this dish should come with peppercorn sauce. You do get a second smaller portion served and whilst its a decent amount of food, it's not the best value and wouldn't queue again for 45 minutes. Note that the plates are actually quite a bit smaller than a normal sized dinner plate.
a month agoThe food didn't quite meet my expectations. The steak, although cooked to order, got lost in the special sauce that, unfortunately, wasn't as unique and flavorful as advertised. The fries and salad were both underwhelming. On the positive side, the dessert, profiteroles, was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor and deliciousness. However, I found the second serving of steak to be quite meager, leaving much to be desired.
in the last weekLe Relais de Venise L'Entrecote in Marylebone has become a regular dining spot for us, and it never disappoints. The exceptional quality of their steak frites keeps us coming back time and time again. The perfectly cooked steak, accompanied by their delectable secret sauce, is consistently outstanding. The attentive service and cozy ambiance create a welcoming atmosphere that adds to the overall experience. Whether it's for a special occasion or a casual meal, Le Relais de Venise L'Entrecote is a reliable choice for a fantastic dining experience.
